Birth Island

Accessible from the area (via the Seagallop Ferry): Vermilion City

Accessing this area requires the Auroraticket item. In the original Game Boy Advance cartridge releases of the games, the Auroraticket was only available via distributions at events between 2004 and 2005, although it can be obtained with hacks or cheats. In the Nintendo Switch rereleases, it is automatically added to the player's bag after they defeat the Elite Four.

Pokémon

When the island is first reached, there is a black triangle. The player must interact with the black triangle, causing it to move. The player must then interact with the triangle in its new location by taking the shortest path to the triangle. If the shortest path is not taken, the triangle will return to its base position.
Once the triangle has been interacted with enough times, it becomes red, and returns to the middle again. Interacting with it one final time will cause Deoxys to appear.
The path the player needs to take at each stage of the interaction is as follows:

  1. For the very first press, press A while standing south of the triangle.
  2. Go west 5 tiles, south 1, and press A.
  3. Go east 5 tiles, north 5, and press A.
  4. Go east 5 tiles, south 5, and press A.
  5. Go north 3 tiles, west 7, and press A.
  6. Go east 5 tiles and press A.
  7. Go west 3 tiles, south 2, and press A.
  8. Go south 1 tile, west 4, and press A.
  9. Go east 7 tiles and press A.
  10. Go west 4 tiles, south 1, and press A.
  11. Go north 4 tiles and press A.
