The following lists and table contain the location of all berries in Gold, Silver, and Crystal.

Bug-Catching Contest

Gold Berries can be obtained for winning first place in the Bug-Catching Contest.
Berries can be obtained for not placing.

Wild Pokémon

Some wild Pokémon can hold Berries. The item can be obtained by capturing the Pokémon or using Thief.

Wild Sentret and Pikachu have a 2% chance of holding a Berry.
Wild Furret have a 23% chance of holding a Berry and a 2% chance of holding a Gold Berry.
Wild Clefairy have a 23% chance of holding a Mysteryberry.
Wild Vulpix, Growlithe, and Magmar have a 25% chance of holding a Burnt Berry.
Wild Jynx have a 25% chance of holding an Ice Berry.
Wild Mr. Mime have a 2% chance of holding a Mysteryberry.
Wild Shuckle have a 25% chance of holding a Berry.
Wild Celebi have a 2% chance of holding a Miracleberry.

Mystery Gift

Berries, Przcureberries, Mint Berries, Ice Berries, Burnt Berries, Psncureberries, Bitter Berries, Miracleberries, and Gold Berries can be obtained via Mystery Gift.

Pokégear Calls

In Crystal only, Bug Catcher Wade can give away Berries, Bitter Berries, Przcureberries, and Psncureberries if his phone number is registered in the Pokégear.

Enemy Trainer Held Item

Some Trainers' Pokémon can hold Berries. The item can be obtained by using Thief.

Pokéfan Brandon's Snubbull holds a Berry.
Pokéfan Beverly's Snubbull holds a Berry, and will hold a Berry in both higher-leveled rematches (in Gold and Silver).
Pokéfan William's Raichu holds a Berry.
Pokéfan Derek's Pikachu holds a Berry, and will hold a Berry in both higher-leveled rematches (in Gold and Silver).
Pokéfan Ruth's Pikachu holds a Berry.
Pokéfan Colin's Delibird holds a Berry.
All of Pokéfan Georgia's Pokémon hold Berries.
All of Pokéfan Jeremy's Pokémon hold Berries.
Pokéfan Robert's Quagsire holds a Berry.
All of Pokéfan Joshua's Pokémon hold Berries.
All of Pokéfan Alex's Pokémon hold Berries.
All of Pokéfan Carter's Pokémon hold Berries.

In-Game Gift and Trade

Some Pokémon the player can receive via in-game gift or trade hold a Berry.

The player's starter Pokémon always holds a Berry.
The Onix that the player can receive in a trade in Violet City always holds a Bitter Berry.
The Machop that the player can receive in a trade in Goldenrod City always holds a Gold Berry.
The Voltorb that the player can receive in a trade in Olivine City always holds a Przcureberry.
The Shuckle that the player can receive as a gift in Cianwood City always holds a Berry.
The Rhydon that the player can receive in a trade in Blackthorn City (Gold and Silver only) always holds a Bitter Berry.
The Rapidash that the player can receive in a trade in Pewter City (Gold and Silver only) always holds a Burnt Berry.
The Xatu that the player can receive in a trade in Pewter City (Crystal only) always holds a Mysteryberry.
The Aerodactyl that the player can receive in a trade on Route 14 always holds a Gold Berry.

Traded from Red, Green, Blue, or Yellow
