Mirage Cave

Access to:
All Mirage Caves can only be accessed from soaring in the sky. Their location on the map is given below, in relation to each individual cave.

Utility:
The Mach Bike and Acro Bike are required to access TM95 Snarl in Spot #2.
Rock Smash can be used to find items and encounter wild Pokémon in Spots #3, #4, #5, and #6.
Strength is required to access a Carbos in Spot #4.

Every day, the game picks one random Mirage Spot (Mirage Island, Mirage Forest, Mirage Cave, Mirage Mountain, or Crescent Isle) to be accessible. More can be made available on a given day by interacting with other players through StreetPass. There are eight of each of Mirage Island, Mirage Forest, Mirage Cave, and Mirage Mountain, located in different areas; despite having the same name, their Pokémon and items differ, meaning the player must visit all eight to get everything. Details of all eight Mirage Caves are given below.

Spot #1

This area is located south of Route 107.

A Max Ether can be found in the lowered area. In the lowered area, a hidden Blue Shard, Red Shard, or Deep Sea Tooth can be found.

Walking

All Unown have an equal chance to spawn.

Spot #2

This area is located north of Fallarbor Town.

TM95 Snarl can be found in the east, requiring the Acro and Mach Bike. In a bush in front of the southeastern entrance, a hidden Blue Shard, Red Shard, or Deep Sea Tooth can be found.

  • Wild Slowpoke have a 5% chance of holding a Lagging Tail.

Spot #3

This area is located west of Route 115.

A Yellow Shard can be found in the center, requiring Rock Smash. In the northern area, a hidden Blue Shard, Red Shard, or Deep Sea Tooth can be found.

Fossils can be found here with Rock Smash. The Old Amber can be found in both games. In Omega Ruby, Dome Fossils, Armor Fossils, and Plume Fossils can be found. In Alpha Sapphire, Helix Fossils, Skull Fossils, and Cover Fossils can be found.

  • Wild Graveler have a 5% chance of holding an Everstone.
  • Wild Boldore have a 50% chance of holding an Everstone and a 5% chance of holding a Hard Stone.

This area is located north of Fortree City.

This area is located north of Route 124.

A PP Up can be found outside the furthest exit to the cave. At the end of the western path, a hidden Blue Shard, Red Shard, or Deep Sea Tooth can be found.

  • Wild Graveler have a 5% chance of holding an Everstone.
