Battle Maison

The Battle Maison is a facility, accessible in X, Y, Omega Ruby, and Alpha Sapphire, where the goal is to defeat Trainers without losing in one of five different modes. Each mode has a leader, known as the Battle Chatelaine, who can be battled after a given number of Trainers have been defeated, without the player losing to any one. Each Battle Chatelaine has two encounters in their mode. Winning the first Battle Chatelaine fight will give the player's Pokémon (only the ones chosen for the challenge) a Skillful Battler Ribbon, and winning the second fight will give the player's Pokémon an Expert Battler Ribbon. Additionally, achieving 100 wins in any mode will allow the player to receive a Lansat Berry, and achieving 200 wins will allow them to receive a Starf Berry.

Battles conducted in the Maison are subject to restrictions.

• The player will not receive money, and their Pokémon will not receive experience. Instead, the player will receive BP, which is used as a currency for purchasable items in the Battle Maison.
• Enemy Pokémon, and Pokémon used by allied Trainers in Multi Battles, are always level 50. The player's Pokémon above level 50 will be set to level 50, and those below level 50 will not be changed.
• Set Mode is enforced.
• Items cannot be used in battle.
• The moves Return and Frustration, when used by the opponent, will always have their maximum power.
• Losing a battle will reset the player's streak to 0. Turning off the game mid-battle will count as a loss and reset the streak.
• Pokémon encountered in battles will not be added to the Pokédex.
• Enemy Pokémon will always take their Nature, Item, moves, and EVs from predetermined 'sets'.
• Enemy Pokémon that can have multiple Abilities, including Hidden Abilities, will always have a random Ability. Enemy Pokémon that can be male or female will have their gender randomly determined.
• The player cannot enter two Pokémon of the same species or holding the same held item, unless they are playing Multis. Playing Multis also allows the player to use two Mega Evolutions across the two Trainers' teams.
• Any Pokémon holding a Soul Dew cannot enter.
• Some Pokémon cannot be entered altogether, and will never be encountered on an opponent's team:

Battle Chatelaines

Each of the four regular modes (Singles, Doubles, Triples, and Rotations) has a single Battle Chatelaine that serves as the leader of that mode. The player will battle them first as the 20th battle in the Normal Course and again as the 50th battle in the Super Course, and a commemorative monument will be placed in the Maison for each Chatelaine the player defeats in the Super Course. Their teams are always the same, but the order of Pokémon within their party varies.

When battling a Chatelaine in Multis, two random Chatelaines will be selected, and two random Pokémon from each of their teams will be selected.

Their Pokémon always have 15 IVs in the Normal Course and 31 in the Super Course.
