The first time the player explores the area, Hugh will request to accompany them. Every wild battle that the player engages in while he is present will be a Double Battle, and battles against Team Plasma Grunts are also Double Battles. He has a level 20 2nd-stage starter whose type is strong against the player's starter, holding its type-boosting item, and a level 18 Pidove.
Utility:
During the spring and summer (January, February, May, June, September, and October), the sewers are flooded and Surf is required to access much of the sewers, including six spots for Funfest Missions. Wild Pokémon can also be encountered here with Surf.
Funfest Missions:
Town map with 16 spots. During spring and summer (January, February, May, June, September, and October), six spots require Surf. One spot is inaccessible during autumn and winter (March, April, July, August, November, and December).
Funfest Trainers here are 2 levels lower in Easy Mode and 2 higher in Challenge Mode.
