Pokémon with the Pickup ability have a 1% chance of picking up King's Rocks. Of the Pokémon with Pickup, only Aipom is available without trading with Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, FireRed, or LeafGreen.
Several Shadow Pokémon hold type-boosting items when Snagged. The list is given below.
Note that, if Qwilfish is not Snagged the first time it is encountered, it will not be holding the Poison Barb on subsequent encounters, rendering the Poison Barb permanently missable.

The old man with a Taillow near the eastern waterfall in Agate Village will give away a Berry when spoken to. I believe he will give away one per day (the date and time is tracked by the GameCube automatically), but have not confirmed this.
