Pokémon Stadium 0

Pokémon Stadium 0 was released in 1998 for the Nintendo 64, in Japan exclusively. Although it was the first Stadium game to be released, it was never released in English-speaking territories. Because this game predates the English-language Pokémon Stadium, it is often referred to by English-speaking fans as either Pokémon Stadium 0 or "Pocket Monsters Stadium". In this game, the player can use Pokémon from their (Japanese) copies of Red, Green, Blue, or Yellow to battle other human players or computer-controlled opponents. There are also rental Pokémon that the player can use, but their stats and movesets are usually inferior to those that could be created from a copy of one of the Game Boy games.
