FireRed and LeafGreen Held Item Locations

The following lists and table contain the location of all items that can have an effect on a Pokémon when held, including Berries. This page does not include Mail locations, nor locations of Berries that have no held effect.

Pickup

Pokémon with the Pickup ability have a 15% chance of picking up Oran Berries and a 10% chance of picking up Aspear Berries, Cheri Berries, Chesto Berries, Pecha Berries, Persim Berries, or Rawst Berries.

Trainer Tower

In international versions of the games, the player can receive the following items at the Trainer Tower for completing specific challenges within the time limit.

In the Japanese version of the games, several held items can be obtained, but require specific e-Reader cards to be scanned; more information can be found on the Trainer Tower page linked above. The list of obtainable held items is shown below.

Wild Pokémon

Some wild Pokémon can have held items. If the player captures the Pokémon, or uses Thief, Covet, or Trick, they can obtain the item. The list of wild Pokémon with held items is as follows:

Trainer Pokémon Held Items

Some Trainers have held items on their Pokémon. If the player's Pokémon uses Thief, Covet, or Trick on the enemy Pokémon, and in the case of Thief and Covet does not have a held item, the user Pokémon will be able to obtain the enemy Pokémon's held item permanently.
