Four Trainers can give away Cheri, Chesto, Pecha, Rawst, Aspear, Leppa, Oran, Persim, Sitrus, or Lum Berries if their phone numbers are registered in the Pokégear:
Jugglers in Violet City and Fuchsia City will offer Berries in exchange for colored Shards. The Berries they give away are in the tables below.

The player can receive Berries as rewards for Scratch-Off Tickets in the Battle Frontier. The possible Berries are Qualot, Tamato, Wacan, Chople, Coba, Pomeg, Hondew, Occa, Rindo, Kebia, Payapa, Kelpsy, Grepa, Passho, Yache, Shuca, Tanga, Charti, Colbur, Kasib, Babiri, Haban, and Chilan.
The third-place prize at the Goldenrod Department Store Lottery is a Berry. The possible Berries are Cheri, Chesto, Pecha, Aspear, Oran, and Persim.
The Onix that the player can receive in a trade in Violet City holds a Persim Berry.
The Voltorb that the player can receive in a trade in Olivine City holds a Cheri Berry.
The Shuckle that the player can receive as a gift in Cianwood City holds Berry Juice.
The Rhyhorn that the player can receive in a trade in Diglett's Cave holds a Passho Berry.
The Xatu that the player can receive in a trade in Pewter City holds a Wacan Berry.
The Berry Pots, which are required to grow Berries, are obtained from Floria on Route 36 after clearing Sudowoodo. After the player clears Sudowoodo, Mulch can be purchased from the flower shop in Goldenrod City to assist with growing Berries.
