HeartGold and SoulSilver Move Locations

This page contains every TM, Move Tutor, and Move Relearner location in HeartGold and SoulSilver.
Except for TM78 Captivate, all TMs and HMs have the same locations in all versions of HeartGold and SoulSilver. TM78 Captivate can be found the Goldenrod Game Corner in the Japanese releases, but not in international releases.

Move Relearner

The Move Relearner is located in Blackthorn City. He can make a Pokémon remember a single move from its level-up movepool in exchange for a single Heart Scale. Heart Scales can be found in the following locations:

Route 32: A hidden Heart Scale can be found on the small rock in the water southeast of the support for the Magnet Train tracks.
Vermilion City: A hidden Heart Scale can be found on the southernmost boat in the water north of the Luck Incense. This Heart Scale requires Surf.
Pokéathlon Dome: Heart Scales can be purchased at the Athlete Shop for 1000 AP on Sundays and Wednesdays.
Using Rock Smash in any location aside from the Ruins of Alph and Cliff Cave has a chance of rewarding the player with a Heart Scale.
Pokémon with Pickup between level 51 and 100 may pick up a Heart Scale.
Wild Luvdisc have a 50% chance of holding a Heart Scale.
