Every time the player goes to the sky, one of four patterns of Pokémon is loaded to place flying Pokémon around the area. Some Pokémon are exclusive to one pattern. The patterns are as follows:

Pattern 1

	Pidgey		Pidgeotto		Pidgeot		Starly		Staravia		Drifloon
	Drifblim		Chatot

Pokémon can be found in the following locations:

• Chatot near Dolce Island
• Pidgey around Renbow Island
• Pidgeotto and Drifblim around Mitonga Island
• Drifloon between Mitonga Island and Faldera Island
• Starly and Pidgeot around Sophian Island
• Staravia around Mt. Layuda

Chatot and Pidgeot probably require Latias/Latios to capture.

Pattern 2

	Pidgey		Pidgeotto		Starly		Staravia		Skarmory		Drifloon
	Drifblim		Chatot

Pokémon can be found in the following locations:

• Pidgey and Starly around Renbow Island
• Pidgeotto and Drifblim around Mitonga Island
• Drifloon between Mitonga Island and Faldera Island
• Starly and Skarmory around Sophian Island
• Chatot and Staravia around Mt. Layuda

Chatot and Skarmory probably require Latias/Latios to capture.

Pokémon can be found in the following locations:

• Pidgey around Renbow Island
• Pidgeotto and Drifblim around Mitonga Island

• Chatot on Faldera Island
• Starly and Pidgeot around Sophian Island - Pidgeot is replaced with Honchkrow in the postgame
• Staravia around Mt. Layuda

Pidgeot, Honchkrow, and Chatot probably require Latias/Latios to capture.

• Pidgey around Renbow Island

• Starly and Skarmory around Sophian Island - Skarmory is replaced with Togekiss in the postgame
• Chatot east of Mt. Sorbet
• Staravia around Mt. Layuda

Skarmory, Togekiss, and Chatot probably require Latias/Latios to capture.
