Pokémon Ranger: Guardian Signs was released in 2010 for the Nintendo DS.
This game has two separate 'stories' that can be completed: the main story, which is a single-player adventure similar to the other two games in the Ranger series, and the 'past' story, which is a sequence of 23 (24 with access to events) missions designed to be completed with multiple players. The two stories have different Browsers and maintain their progression separately from one another (although completing certain Past Missions is required to unlock some optional content in the main story). The main story has a total of 301 obtainable Pokémon (plus an additional six with access to event missions), and the past story has a total of 222 (plus an additional one with access to an event mission).
In 2016, Guardian Signs was rereleased for the Wii U Virtual Console. Unlike the original releases, this version is not capable of communicating with any other Pokémon game. It also cannot engage in multiplayer, meaning all the past missions must be completed by a single player, and some Pokémon become inaccessible as a result of this restriction.
Unless otherwise stated, all pages below (including the Past Missions pages) are works in progress.
All Past Missions information can be found from the links on the Past Missions Index page. The below pages all refer exclusively to the main story.
