The lady in the rest house in the northern section will heal the player's Pokémon when spoken to.

Utility:
Rock Smash is required to access the northern section, the desert, and most of the southern section. Wild Pokémon can also be encountered here with Rock Smash.
The Mach Bike is required to access Black Belt Daisuke in the northern section.
Surf is required to access an HP Up in the southern section. Wild Pokémon can also be encountered here with Surf.
The Go-Goggles are required to access and traverse the entire desert area.
