Waterfall Colosseum

This colosseum becomes available to the player after they clear Main Street Colosseum. In this colosseum, the player must defeat six Trainers, followed by the Colosseum Leader, in Team Battles. In a Team Battle, the player will select five of their Pokémon in Singles and six in Doubles. The selected Pokémon will be sent out in the order selected for a series of five one-on-one (for Singles) or three two-on-two (for Doubles) rounds. Each round is treated as though the player only has the one (or two) Pokémon in the round in their party, meaning that no replacement Pokémon is sent out for one that faints, and no switches can be made. The round ends when the Pokémon used by one Trainer faint. When a new round starts, both the player and opposing Trainer use the next Pokémon in their list regardless of who won the previous round. In Singles, the player wins the series by defeating the opposing Trainer in three out of five rounds; in Doubles, the player must win two out of three.

The player can use a Rental Pass with rental Pokémon or a custom Battle Pass with Pokémon from a connected copy of the DS games Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, HeartGold, and SoulSilver.

The first time the player challenges this colosseum, they will have to face Single Battles, using the Level 30 Open ruleset, on Rank 1. After the colosseum has been completed for the first time, the player can fight through ranks 2-8 in Single or Double Battles. Regardless of which battle type is chosen, winning on the selected rank will advance the rank by 1. After clearing all eight ranks, any subsequent challenges to this colosseum will always be Rank 8.

After the player completes Stargazer Colosseum the first time, the Level 50 All ruleset is unlocked for this colosseum. The player's starting rank on Level 50 All is set to 1, and is maintained separately from their rank in Level 30 Open. The rank can be advanced by Single or Double Battles.

In Single Battles, the player and opposing Trainers all have six Pokémon, and must choose five to participate in the battle with. In Doubles, all Trainers have six Pokémon and use all six.

The Pokémon that can be used by opposing Trainers differ depending on the level mode being played, and whether the player is playing Singles or Doubles. The links below will show the Pokémon pools used by each.

Completing this colosseum for the first time unlocks Neon Colosseum and Crystal Colosseum.

Rank 1 Trainers

The Trainers and their Pokémon seen during the player's first challenge always have the same moves and item, but random IVs and Natures.
